We limit our commitments in the belief that our involvement can increase the probability of success for our portfolio companies and generate greater returns for our investors. Accordingly we choose to limit our capital base. We understand this model well and think that it doesn’t scale easily. We look for experienced management, ideally with established expertise in the targeted space, who work well together and who bring complementary skills to bear. We want to be part of building businesses that have the potential to be the leaders in their industry space. We look for companies that apply compelling technologies to large, growing markets. We focus our investments in areas that we know well. We have significant early stage company building experience in healthcare technology, telecoms, financial services and supply chain management.
